Organisational pushback

Some organisations, some workplaces have already started to implement exclusionary policies – even though the legal basis for that is at the very least doubtful.

It is important that they are made aware that what they are doing is of dubious legality. So, if ever they are called to account for their actions in court, they cannot say they were not warned.

What you need to tell them

Use this template to push back and call them out. Feel free to edit, reword or delete sections as appropriate for your particular situation. Note: you should edit this to fit your individual circumstances.

Please note that none of this is specific legal advice.

Who to contact

Send this to anyone and everyone in the target organisation that you think needs to know.

If you’ve been pushed back by a local pub, club, or shop, send this to the manager; to the area manager; to head office.

Do some research and loop in their HR and legal teams. Contact their chair and managing director.

While you’re doing that, maybe contact local press to let them know what you are doing as well.
